On August 24, Mr. Colonel Haitham Ahmed, new Defense Attaché of Embassy of Egypt, and Prof. Omayma Ghanem Zaidan, Education and Culture Counsellor visited Silk Road Cities Alliance to fully understand the Global Health Link (GHL). The both sides had in-depth discussion on health cooperation.

 
  Global Health Link (GHL), which is initiated by Silk Road Cities Alliance, Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, China Reform Health Management and Services Group, and China Society for Drug Regulation, is determined to rely on extensive domestic and international cross-border resources and partners, to achieve precise docking of “Supplier -- Procurement -- Quality Assurance -- Customs -- International Logistics” and constitute a complete and sustainable system. The GHL focuses on solving the significant structural problems such as the asymmetry of supply and demand information, different standards, complicated customs procedure and quality inspection, poor logistics system, etc. This platform was officially launched during the China International Import Expo in November 2020, 16 countries including France, Italy, Ukraine, Serbia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Ecuador participated in the joint construction and launch. It has already docked or donated PPE for Iran, Egypt, Pakistan and other countries.
 
  Mr. Colonel Haitham Ahmed highly praised the work done by the SRCA, he was willing to carry out more exchanges and cooperation with SRCA. He also learned more about the high-quality GHL products, including the air purifier, TCM herbal tea, rapid test and mask.At present, the epidemic situation in Egypt is still severe. The SRCA will actively coordinate social resources to not only look for good PPE products, but also introduce China's epidemic prevention experience to Egypt.
