The Consulate General of the Philippines in Shanghai will Strengthen Cooperation with SRCA

On June 28, Mr. Song Ronghua, the founder of Silk Road Cities Alliance, visited Consulate General of the Philippines in Shanghai and had conversation with Consul General Mr. Josel Francisco Ignacio, Commercial Counselor Mr. Mario C. Tani, and Business Director Ms. Forrina Sun to explore further cooperation opportunities.
Located in the subtropical zone, the Philippines is rich in fruits and seafood. In addition, it is a multi-ethnic country, which combines many characteristics of Eastern and Western cultures and customs. SRCA is very willing to use various platforms to promote Philippines culture and tourism resources.
During the CIIE in November this year, SRCA will organize Silk Road Health and Elderly Care Forum. It would like to invite the Philippines as guest country to showcase its experience and policies in elderly healthcare. The Philippines has high-quality senior care industry and resources, and its nursing science is well-known internationally. In recent years, the Philippines has quietly become a popular place for retired people.
The Philippines is one of the fastest-growing countries in the Asian consumer market and one of the countries with the highest Internet usage rate in the world. This provides huge opportunities for the development of e-commerce and integrated business. Thus, the Philippines will be invited as the first country to enter the Shanghai Silk Road Brands Exhibition , introducing the good-quality products to Chinese market. Silk Road Brands was launched by SRCA, China Commodity Trade Market Development Committee and Embassies and Consulate of Silk Road countries to China. Its missions are to assist foreign member companies establishing distribution network in China, at the same time to support Chinese members promoting Chinese famous products in B&R countries.
In addition, Mr. Josel Francisco Ignacioal so paid great attention to youth development and gave an insight into Silk Road & Young Dreams project. With the theme of "Poverty Reduction and Green Development", the 2021 SRYD provides a platform for young people to participate in international poverty alleviation cooperation. The Philippine Consulate will actively promote and encourage young people in to participate in the event.
