Seminar: The trend of the epidemic situation in 2021 and coping strategies adopted by the cities

It has been nearly a year since COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. Although the people have gradually adapted to the new mode of work and life under the epidemic situation, it still hinders the communication between countries and people to a great extent. Now the second wave of epidemic around the world is raging, and some mutant coronavirus were detected in some countries, which poses new challenges to the epidemic prevention and control and treatment in every country and region. One of the effective ways to overcome it is to strengthen cooperation worldwide. 

The primary foundation of cooperation is communication. An online and offline international seminar "The trend of the epidemic situation in 2021 and coping strategies adopted by the cities" will be held on February 5, 2021, hostedd by SRCA and Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, and organized by Shanghai Services Federation Medical Services Professional Committee and Global Health Link, to discuss the development trend and characteristics of the new epidemic situation in the winter of 2021, the strategies and measures to deal with the epidemic situation in different cities, as well as the difficulties faced and the assistance needed. Invited guests will be public health experts, domestic and foreign city administrators, health officials and etc.  

The topics discussed in the seminar are as follows: 

  1. The development trend and characteristics of the COVID-19 in this winter in different cities. Where dose the mutate coronavirus appear?
  2. What are the anti pandemic measures taken by cities? And what is the reaction of ordinary people to the measures?
  3. How many confirmed cases are there in different city? Is there a lack of medical protection materials or hospital beds thereWhat kind of assistance and cooperation does the city need?
  4. Traditional Chinese Medicine played an important role in the prevention of COVID-19 in China. Will it be adopted in other foreign cities?
  As the epidemic prevention and control is crucial in this winter, improving the comprehensive understanding of the virus and international cooperation will be highly necessary.
